Belief

Honest faith. Plain language.

Six convictions sit underneath everything we teach, sing, and do. Here they are in plain language.

01 · 2 Timothy 3:16

The Bible

We believe the Bible is God's inspired Word — true, trustworthy, and alive. It is our first authority for what we believe and how we live, above tradition, trends, and personal opinion.

That conviction shapes our Sundays: we teach through books of the Bible verse by verse, in everyday language, always asking two questions — what did this mean, and what does it change on Monday?

02 · Ephesians 2:8

Grace

We believe every person is rescued by grace alone, through faith alone — a gift we could never earn and can never lose by performing. Nobody arrives at Harvestgate qualified, and nobody has to.

Grace also sets the culture: we are quick to forgive, slow to judge, and honest about our own struggles. The ground is level at the foot of the cross.

03 · Acts 2:46–47

Community

We believe faith was never meant to be solo. The early church shared meals, prayers, and possessions — and we try to follow their lead in small groups that meet all over our city.

Community here means showing up for hospital visits and house moves, celebrating promotions and mourning losses. Rows on Sunday matter; circles in the week change lives.

04 · John 14:26

The Holy Spirit

We believe God is active and present today through the Holy Spirit — comforting, guiding, and transforming ordinary people. We expect Him to show up when we pray, and we make room for Him in every gathering.

This keeps us both grounded and expectant: rooted in Scripture, open to healing, wisdom, and the quiet nudges that change a Tuesday afternoon.

05 · Matthew 28:19

Mission

We believe the church exists for the world, not for itself. We love our city through food pantries, school partnerships, and neighborhood cleanups — and we support long-term partners serving across the globe.

Every follower of Jesus is called to serve beyond themselves. Our question is never whether to go, only where.

06 · 1 Corinthians 15:20

Eternity

We believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ — that death does not get the last word, and that eternity with God is a real and living promise for all who trust Him.

This hope steadies us in grief and sharpens our purpose in life: what we do with our days echoes far beyond them.
