About

A church for the honest and the curious.

Since 1998, Harvestgate has been a place where doubters, seekers, and lifelong believers sit side by side — and become family.

Our story

It started with twelve chairs in a living room.

Pastor David and Ruth Okafor didn't set out to plant a church. In the winter of 1998, they simply opened their home to neighbors who had questions about faith but no interest in religion as usual — twelve chairs, strong coffee, and zero pressure.

Word traveled. The living room became a rented hall, the hall became our first building, and today Harvestgate gathers across three locations — but the recipe hasn't changed: honest conversation, heartfelt worship, and room for everyone.

We still keep twelve empty chairs near the front of every gathering. They're a reminder of where we started — and a promise that there's always space for one more.
